Founded by Arizona winemaking trailblazers Eric Glomski and Maynard James Keenan, Arizona Stronghold Vineyards was established in 2007 and released its first vintage the same year.

The Arizona Centennial commemoration – now in full swing – has been a statewide, multi-year observation. Commemoration activities began in January 2011 and are set to continue through February 14, 2012 – the 100th anniversary of Arizona’s move to join the Union of the United States. Arizona was the 48th and last of the contiguous states to enter the Union in 1912.

“We are truly honored to have been given the opportunity to participate in the Centennial celebrations in such a focal way, said Eric Glomski, Arizona Stronghold Co-Founder and Director of Winegrowing. “We came into this game knowing that we wanted to honor Arizona through our wines – that was, and continues to be, our first priority. Showcasing the grapes and the care taken by each of the people involved in every step of the process are close seconds.”

In its official capacity, Arizona Stronghold will be joined by other members of the Arizona Winegrowers Association to host wine tastings at events throughout the state. These events aim to make history, educate, entertain and honor Arizona’s 100 Years with the best of the state’s accomplishments, people, history, cultures, food traditions and more.

Glomski concluded, “The Centennial celebrates all of the spirit, determination, hard work and vision of Arizona that we strive to express day in and day out through our wines. We are all so proud to represent Arizona in such an amazing way.”

As the official winery of the Arizona Centennial, Arizona Stronghold crafted a series of blends, offering a red, white and pink wine within the Centennial lineup. The Arizona Stronghold Centennial series celebrates 100 years of determination and dedication to the Grand Canyon state’s growth as a part of the United States.

The primary lineup of Arizona Stronghold wines includes dry rosé blend, Dayden; white blend, Tazi; Cabernet Sauvignon, Dala; Tuscan blend, Mangus and Rhone blend, Nachise. A series of limited site archive wines is also available exclusively at the Arizona Stronghold Tasting Room, in Old Town Cottonwood, Arizona.
