Country star Bentley chairs AZ Centennial ride, sings official song

 Country star Dierks Bentley has been named honorary chairman of the Arizona Centennial Ride, an event expected to attract 2,000 bikers from across the country.

According to a press release, Bentley, 35, a native of Tempe, will lead the pack of riders through downtown Phoenix on Feb. 11 with the Arizona Centennial Copper Chopper in the lead.

The chopper, from world-renowned custom motorcycle builder (and Arizona resident) Paul Yaffe, is on display at the Arizona State Fair.

Bentley’s song “Home” also has been named the official song of teh Arizona Centennial Commission.
