The one-of-a-Kind Historic Art Piece: AZ Centennial’s ‘Official Mascot,’ Arizona Centennial Copper Chopper will visit Phoenix and Mesa this week. The motorcycle will be in Mesa July 1 and 2 at the Southwest Ambulance Arizona Celebration of Freedom. The motorcycle will be in Phoenix on July 4 during the Freedom Wireless Fabulous Phoenix celebration at Steele Indian School Park.
The Copper Chopper is a copper-ensconced historical work of art created by Arizona’s own Paul Yaffe, world-renowned motorcycle builder and designer. It is on a 17-month statewide tour since it’s unveiling.
Gov. Jan Brewer first unveiled the Copper Chopper in October 2010 during the Arizona State Fair. Copper Chopper sponsored by Global Experience Specialists, the Arizona Office of Tourism, the Arizona Lottery and the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety who signed on to help promote the Copper Chopper’s Statewide Tour and motorcycle safety.
