First Launch
The Arizona Centennial Commission will conduct several of its own tree-planting campaigns throughout the state to encourage involvement in this endeavor.
We launched our Centennial Tree Project on National Arbor Day, April 30, 2010 at the Pioneer & Military Memorial Park in Phoenix in collaboration with the Pioneers’ Cemetery Association and the City of Phoenix. We planted five initial Cathedral Live Oak trees, and 35 additional trees will be planted in this historic cemetery over the next year.
